A number can serve as a prayer reminder, and for Shiny Lall Corrao, that number is 1111.
Shiny is the daughter of David and Sheila Lall, natives of India who are working to take the gospel to their people. Shiny came to the United States to study at Ozark Christian College, bringing with her a sharp mind, a beautiful smile and a heart to introduce the people of India to Christ. While at Ozark, she met and married Tommy Corrao. Now graduated, they serve at Northside Christian Church in Clovis, CA as they prepare to go to India.
Recently I was at the Northside church, and Shiny told me how she prayed for the college. "Every time I see the time 11:11 on a clock, I always remember to pray for Ozark," said Shiny. That's because, after four years on our campus, she will always remember our address - 1111 North Main Street, Joplin, MO. "It's really weird," she said with a smile, "it now seems like every day, I just 'happen' to glance at the clock at 11:11. I even wake up at 11:11 at night! It's like God is always prompting me to pray for the college.
A number can serve as a prayer reminder. We are truly grateful for your investment in our mission, and the OCC college family ofter does word of prayer of thanksgiving for those who partner with us financially. I hope you'll also pray for us as we continue to train evangelistic leaders like Tommy and Shiny. Together we really can reach the world for Christ, one leader at a time.
